We’re looking for an

onboarding engineer

to own the onboarding experience for new merchants—ensuring they get value fast while building tools to automate and productize our process.

What You’ll Do
Lead technical onboarding for new merchants
Work inside Shopify themes to map price elements, cart logic, and promotional triggers
Communicate directly with merchants—troubleshoot, guide, and explain setups
Build a process and documentation to streamline onboarding
Explore AI-assisted ways to automate parts of onboarding and reduce manual steps
Contribute to UX improvements and flag merchant experience gaps

What You’ll Need
Strong Shopify theme experience (HTML, CSS, Liquid, Java Script)
Comfortable working with merchant storefronts, handling custom JS events and cart logic
Excellent communication skills—you’ll talk to merchants regularly
UX mindset—ownership of a clean, intuitive merchant experience
Self-starter attitude with curiosity for automation, productizing workflows, AI tools, and a growth mindset

Nice to Have
Experience building themes for Shopify merchants or as a launch engineer
Exposure to onboarding Saa S merchants or ecommerce customers
