About the role
This is a highly specialized international treasury role, designed for a senior, autonomous professional.
The International Treasury Specialist will operate independently, owning treasury, cash flow, and international banking operations across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe.
This is not a transactional AP role.
It is a position with low payment volume but very high operational and compliance complexity, requiring strong judgment, technical depth, and end-to-end ownership.
Key responsibilities
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
Build, manage, and continuously monitor short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts (including 13-week cash flow)
Ensure liquidity and funding availability for international operations
Analyze variances, assumptions, and scenarios impacting cash position
International Payments & Banking Operations
Execute and manage international payments across U. S. and European banking systems
Operate payment methods such as ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, wire transfers, and international payroll-related payments
Navigate banking environments without PIX or boletos
Manage FX transactions, payment cut-offs, bank holidays, and country-specific rules
Maintain strong relationships with international banks and service providers
Negotiate banking fees and service conditions when applicable
Accounts Payable, Receivable & Governance
Own the end-to-end international AP and AR flows, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
Partner with Accounting and local providers (e. G., Portugal accounting team) for validation and execution
Ensure payments align with accounting, tax, and contractual requirements
Apply strong governance, internal controls, and compliance standards
Cross-functional Partnership
Work closely with HR (international payrolls and benefits), Marketing (costs and campaigns), Accounting, FP& A, and Commercial
Understand accounting classifications (OPEX vs. CAPEX) and financial impacts
Act as a key finance partner in international operations

Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related fields
Fluent English (mandatory / non-negotiable)
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Treasury or International Finance
Proven experience with international payments, especially in the U. S.
Solid knowledge of cash flow management (build, monitor, analyze)
Strong understanding of financial mathematics
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems (SAP and/or Datasul – TOTVS)
Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance
Nice to have
Experience with European banking operations
Spanish proficiency
Prior exposure to multinational or international business environments
