We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production support, particularly within the securities or financial services industry. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with global teams, and a growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive production support for our applications, ensuring their reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to application functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and global support teams, to address and resolve issues.
Monitor application performance and implement improvements to enhance stability and efficiency.
Document support processes and maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support as needed.
Continuously improve support practices and contribute to the development of best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial.
3+ years of related production support experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with global teams.
Experience with basic scripting tools such as Python, Bash, Power Shell, Docker, etc.
Growth mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Dev Ops, Agile, and Lean methodologies.
Business knowledge of securities, fund accounting, collateral, and tri-party repo preferred but not required.
Experience in platform engineering, cloud, virtual environments, MQ, database management, network, ITIL, and service management.
