Join Our Team as a Media Arts Teacher – IB MYP (Secondary School) at St. Nicholas Pinheiros!
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Media Arts Teacher to join our Arts team, teaching as a member of the Secondary School team at our Pinheiros campus. Media Arts engages students with a range of digital media forms—including video, animation, and audio production—to develop their creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills. The course emphasises investigating, creating, and reflecting on media, and understanding how media communicates ideas, emotions, and cultural perspectives.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to interdisciplinary learning across the MYP, collaborating with colleagues to strengthen connections between Media Arts and other subject groups. The role also includes supporting the Personal Project, leading a tutor group and providing pastoral support to students, and contributing to the life of the school through clubs and activities.
Core Responsibilities
Teach Media Arts across the MYP.
Guide students through projects involving video production, animation, sound design, and digital storytelling.
Foster creativity, critical thinking, and reflective practice in students.
Maintain an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver Arts and Interdisciplinary learning.
Support broader school initiatives and community projects as required.
Qualifications
A teaching degree in Media Arts, Digital Arts, Film, Animation, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience with video editing, animation tools, and audio production software.
Strong communication skills and effective classroom management.
